Thanks for the post from Nora Mccoy
We’ve been on a wedding shower streak lately. We live for the weekends since I spent this week cleaning, paying bills, carrying kids to and fro, researching Reliant Texas Electricity Provider for better power rates, and Will spent the week wheeling and dealing at the finance building downtown. Our best friends are getting married in December and we helped throw a couple’s shower for them last Saturday night. We thought a Low Country Boil party would be festive so it wouldn’t be too fancy or over the top. And, boy was it fun. We hit up Sam’s Club before the party and got more shrimp, bread, potatoes, and sausage than we knew what to do with. Though the bridesmaids are excellent at organizing numbers, drinks, decorations and gifts, we weren’t so good at actually boiling the food. Turns out, the (very hot) water splashes when you dump in the food and, well, we were too scared to do it. So, after all the party plannin’, we had to let the men be in charge of the food. They like to say, as it should be. Regardless, it was a heck of a party. Congrats to the husband and wife to-be!
